FAQs

Q1. What areas do you cover for wedding photography?
At Wedding Photographers in Surrey we work primarily in London and Surrey, however we are happy to photograph weddings throughout London and the south-east UK. Outside of London and Surrey there may be a small charge to cover travel costs.

Q2. Will there always be two photographers?
Yes there will always be two photographers, this ensures that we capture all those special moments on your wedding day. If Jude or Verity are not available on your wedding day then we have other very experienced professional wedding photographers that we work with.  You will always know in advance who will be with you on the day.

Q3. Will we meet you before the wedding?
Definitely, we think that it is really important for you to meet us and we always advise that you join us for a consultation so that we can get to know you and understand your requirements and make sure that you are comfortable with us.  You can think of this consultation as a friendly chat and you will be under no obligation to book us.

Q4. What is your style of wedding photography?
As there will always be two wedding photographers present on the day, we can provide some images in the more traditional/formal wedding style as well as providing reportage style photography, observing and capturing the action and special moments as they happen that will tell the unique story of your day.  We aim to be very relaxed and natural and also make sure that you will have a bit of fun!

Q5. Do you produce colour or black and white photographs?
As you will see from our portfolio, we find that a mixture of colour and black and white photographs best tell the story of your wedding day. Some pictures work better in black and white, while others look great in colour!

Q6. Do you photograph the bride and groom getting ready?
Yes, the beauty of having two photographers is that one of us can be with the bride and the other with the groom whilst they are getting ready to capture the nerves and excitement prior to the ceremony.

Q7. Do you take ‘detail’ photos of my wedding day?
Yes, we are both married and appreciate the amount of thought and effort that goes into all those little details, be it the wedding rings, the flowers, the table decorations, we will capture it all, as it all adds up to tell the tale of your special day.

Q8. How long do I have to wait for my wedding photos?
We dedicate a lot of time and effort to editing and preparing your wedding photos, but we always aim to have them completed within 2 to 3 weeks of the big day.  Usually perfectly timed for you to enjoy them on your return from honeymoon!

Q9. Who owns the copyright to the photographs?
Wedding Photographers in Surrey own the copyright of the photographs. However, you will have a DVD of all the photographs and we are happy for you to print as many of the images as you would like.

Q10. Do we need to sign a contract and/or pay a deposit?
If you decide to book us we will provide a simple contract that we will all have to sign and we will require a non-refundable deposit of £250 to secure the booking.

Q11. Are you fully insured?
Yes, we are fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity.

Q12. What equipment do you use?
We use professional Nikon Digital SLR cameras, lenses and flashes.

Q13. How many pictures will you take?
The beauty of digital cameras is that we can take a lot of photos, generally we can take anywhere between 500 and 1000 each, this will then be edited down to the best photos.  The total number of photographs that you can expect to see on your final DVD will depend on the weather, the number of guests, the time allocated to photography, the willingness of guests etc but you will usually see a minimum of 350 to 500 photographs and it may be many more.

Q14. Are there any hidden costs?
Not at all, the price is completely transparent and you will not be charged any extras for prints or albums.  You will be given a DVD with the high resolution images on it and you can print, copy and share them as you see fit.

Q15. Do you offer any other types of photography?
Yes, both Jude and Verity have a great passion for baby, children and family photography. Verity’s portfolio can be seen at http://veritygraham.com/ To get more information about family photography, you can use the contact form or email us at enquiries@weddingphotographersinsurrey.com
